Polystyrene foam render is becoming much more common. It is mostly used in multi-level buildings and on the upper floor of a two-storey house. It offers a real advantage where a lighter material is needed to provide adequate support, especially when an upper floor is set back from the ground floor.
In polystyrene foam render, polymer render is added to the mix and the cement base has silicone water repellent which makes the mix water resistant.
